Custom Orders: As a general rule, all orders that undergo customization (including custom branding, fleet colors, battery configuration, OEM white-labeling, or modified vehicle specifications) are NON-Refundable.
1. Alanic International Corporation – DBA 8 Auto does not accept returns or exchanges for vehicles, batteries, charging stations, or industrial equipment that have been customized, modified, or manufactured to buyer specifications.
2. Customers are advised to carefully choose their customization details (including vehicle model, battery chemistry, charging interface, range configuration, livery, and any OEM branding) and keep a copy of the confirmation notice for future reference.
3. Alanic International Corporation – DBA 8 Auto is not responsible for delays caused by third party contractors and unforeseen variables outside of 8 Auto’s control or ability to mitigate, including but not limited to: freight carrier delays, port hold ups, container shipping line backlogs, customs clearance delays, natural disasters, extreme weather, international political incidents, pandemic, war, battery transportation restrictions, or raw material supply chain disruptions for cells, motors, and electronic components.
4. Project Items (including electric vehicles, batteries, and charging stations) are not considered faulty unless there are significant production errors that make them unfit for use — defined as the vehicle being unable to move under its own power, unable to charge, or having a structural safety failure. Cosmetic variances, software differences, range fluctuations within 10%, and battery capacity degradation within industry norms are not considered faults.
5. Custom products may have a standard industry variance of 10% from requested specifications to delivered goods. While efforts are made to ensure accuracy, some variations are acceptable due to the nature of electric vehicle manufacturing. This applies to: range (km), battery capacity (kWh), motor power output (kW), charging time (minutes), weight (kg), and payload capacity (tonnes).
6. If no communication is made or action taken by the customer within 45 days of order confirmation and deposit payment, the order will be considered abandoned and the deposit will be forfeited. For large industrial or government fleet orders, this period may be extended only by written agreement.
7. After deposit payments, the remaining balance for orders is due in full upon completion of bulk production and prior to shipping. A grace period of up to seven days from the invoice date is allowed, after which a daily warehousing fee will be added to the invoice based on vehicle dimensions (length × width × height) or container storage rates.
8. Once a deposit is paid for a custom order, the order is considered “active” and resources are allocated accordingly (including raw materials such as battery cells, motors, chassis components, controllers, and prepaid third-party tooling). No refunds are offered on deposits for custom orders. If a refund is approved under exceptional circumstances, it will be reduced by all costs incurred by Alanic International Corporation – DBA 8 Auto with regard to procurement of materials, prepaid labor, allocation of resources, and any non-recoverable tooling or certification fees.
9. Pricing for orders can be subject to change during the development process due to fluctuation in market costs for raw materials (especially lithium, cobalt, nickel, steel, aluminum, copper), freight/fuel, container shipping, import fees, tariffs, and labor. After sample approval or pre-production prototype sign-off, the final costs are confirmed, and any variance in pricing will be adjusted in the balance payment due upon completion of production before shipping the goods.
